The immense popularity of Japanese animation has increased rapidly in many parts of the world, especially in the Asian region during the 90's. Animation International Ltd. has been a trendsetter in this segment and has been a catalyst in the development of the market not only in Asia, but also in the Middle East and Europe.The major Japanese animation titles/character that AI has distributed in the Asian region include Doraemon, Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Let's & Go!!, and several others.
The story develops at a fast pace with Doraemon and Nobita as the central characters. Members of Nobita's family, his friends such as Gian, Suneo, and Ahizuka-chan and Dorami, Doraemon younger sister, also enter the story at various stages and appeal to children who regularly watch them. Sometimes the story follows a major adventure into the world of dinosaus which existed 100 million years ago or fast forwards to another planet toexplore the far reaches of space.
In 1970 "Doraemon" was serialised in a learning magazine published by Shogakukan and became extremely popular. The first TV animation came in 1979 which lad to a virtual "Doraemon boom" among children. Doraemon Movies have been released at Toho theaters once a year, each Spring since 1980.The story of Doraemon touches the desires and unfulfilled dreams of children while making them into dreams of orgoing adventure.

YCAB
YCAB Foundation Indonesia was established in 1999, it started with six staff members on the payroll and five advisers and a pool of expert volunteers. Now YCAB has evolved into a group of social enterprise with more than 655 paid staff and continue to gain support from more than 3000 volunteers every year. Program-wise, YCAB has also grown exponentially. From reaching out to around 2000 youths in 1999, now it has spread its wings to serve more than 2.7 million at the bottom of the pyramid. By the end of 2020, YCAB aims to touch the lives of a five million people.
YCAB Foundation worked to support the achievement of the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) and continues to support the new set of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its advancement of Human Development Index (HDI).HDI’s scope of work is consistent with YCAB’s three main pillars. The organization aims to persevere in contributing to improve human capital quality in Indonesia and in countries where it operates. The three areas of the HDI which YCAB strives to fulfill are: health promotion, educational and vocational training division, welfare creation through micro loans, job centers, and seed capital for micro entrepreneurs.
For YCAB, education is the most basic building block of a nation. It creates opportunities as much as it enriches a person’s well being. However, majority of Indonesian children still do not have access to it. Hence, YCAB firmly stands behind Sustainable Development Goal 4 in ensuring there is an inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities to all.
